Regular and Associate Members
Learn about the Marine Corps League, our local detachment and what we do. Look over our website and Facebook page. Maybe talk to a member or attend a meeting. We strive to have a place for every Marine or or Corpsmen to fit in, and we always welcome new members and ideas. Our meetings are open to anyone wishing to attend and learn more.
Download and fill out an application and bring it to our monthly meeting or just come to our monthly meeting and fill out your application in person. If you do not know the answer to a question on the application please leave it blank and we can help you fill it in.
*Please do not put any credit card information on the downloadable application.
Proof of Service is usually a DD214, or ID cards for current active duty or reservists. Other forms proving service may be acceptable. Please check with us if you have any questions.
*Associate Members do not need to submit proof of service.
The final step to become a member is to attend a meeting and be sworn in as a new member. We typically have guests/new applicants introduce themselves during the meeting and then conduct the swearing in ceremony.
Whether you join for the comradery or to actively serve, we have many different activities and aspects.
We attended and host multiple events through out the year, get involved in service projects, present awards to Texoma Heroes at the Sherman VFW monthly and the local Toys For Tots campaign.
If you have ideas on how we can improve our detachment for you and other members, we would like to hear more. This is your Marine Corps League, make it what you want it to be.
One of the easiest ways to join is to just so up in person. We always have applications at the meeting and they do not take long to fill out. You can fill one out prior to the start of the meeting, pay the initial dues and those applying for Regular membership can show their proof of service all in just a couple of minutes. Or if you miss any part of the online application process you can also take care of that in person at one of our monthly meetings which are typically held the first Saturday of the month.
